Description:

The Orangeville Public Health Unit location involved the demolition of an existing facility located between two heritage buildings and the new construction of a 37,000 square foot health unit. The lower level contains kitchens, change rooms, radio station room and storage room. The ground floor contains meeting rooms, dental offices and interview rooms. The second floor contains staff work area and open office areas. The third floor is dedicated for staff offices and meeting rooms.

Clinics in the new facility offer a variety of services including immunizations, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, speech and language assessment for preschoolers, and dental care for children from qualifying families. The Public Health Unit also has a ride range of programs and services that are available to everyone in the community including well water testing, breastfeeding and parenting classes, and food safety training and certification.  This building was certified LEED Silver at completion.
