VIA Rail Canada has selected Buttcon Limited to lead the modernization of its Toronto Maintenance Centre—an essential pillar of the Corridor Fleet Replacement Program. This transformation will position the facility as a key hub for maintaining VIA Rail’s 32 new train sets, while continuing to service the existing fleet.
The project includes:
- Construction of new buildings and upgrades to existing structures
- Track installation and realignment
- Advanced equipment support facilities for fueling, de-icing, washing, and inspections
