Description:

This project had two phases: Preconstruction and Construction. During preconstruction we assisted the Design Team in design development, preparation of construction documents and we executed tendering process. Following tender, we managed the construction of district energy distribution systems at two campuses: Davis and Trafalgar. The work involved installation of underground chilled and hot water piping network using pre-insulated piping systems supplied by Isoplus and penetrations into multiple buildings throughout both campuses, testing and verification of work. This project is a new district heating and cooling network at the Trafalgar and Davis campuses for Sheridan College. The project involved the conversion of steam distribution, which will be a multi-year process coordinated with the implementation of building efficiency measures. Extension of a new, pressurized hot-water network to all buildings will allow the heating plant to be optimized across the campuses as a whole and operate at higher levels of efficiency.
