Description:

The scope of work was to renovate the 7th and 8th floors of the south tower at NYGH (North York General Hospital). The work included early occupancy of the 8th floor for the temporary relocation of the ICU patients and staff from the 6th floor, as coring for the new 7th floor plumbing and drainage systems was completed. HVAC work on the roof was also included into the scope of work. New work included sealing of exterior windows with operable hardware, new flooring, wall, ceilings, addition of medical services headwalls, sprinklers, and millwork. There also involved new lighting, electrical services, HVAC and medical gas services. In addition to the work, Buttcon also conducted work in the occupied adjacent hospital space on both floors related to extension of the pneumatic tube system. These existing spaces remained operational for the duration of the project.
