Description:

The 1931 historical Maple Leaf Gardens building was fully restored, and the interior was retrofitted to house a Loblaws Great Food grocery store and a Athletic Centre for Ryerson University.

The Loblaws Grocery Store Fit-Up portion of the project, included the development of a Joe Fresh clothing store and an LCBO store in addition to the Grocery Store itself. The store involved the installation of a 1,400 square foot main commercial kitchen and cooking area in an elevated area open to the public view on three sides.  In addition to the main kitchen, Buttcon supplied and installed several specialized food services units including; a pizza, sandwich and soup bar, a sushi bar, coffee shop with a gelato station, a 5 metre tall wall of cheese, 2 level Ace Bakery, butcher and fish counter, a deli bar with cooler with a variety of hanging meats, olive table, a tea emporium, chocolate by the chunk bar and a cooking school also with a high end kitchen facility. This facility was finished with all specialty finishes including; marble, specialty ovens imported from Germany and other high end imported finishes, fixtures and equipment.
