The renovation of Hamilton GO Centre aims to enhance passenger experience and comply with Metrolinx standards. Key upgrades include refurbishing the GO Centre Heritage Building with new vinyl flooring, gypsum ceilings, polished terrazzo floors, as well as ceiling, roof, and insulation repairs. Upgrades also incorporate sprinkler systems and AODA-compliant features like tactile handrail signs. The heritage building's facades, ceilings, and floors will be cleaned and repaired. Bus bay enhancements will include secure bike rooms and shelters for 32 bikes each. West Harbour GO Station will also be upgraded to improve passenger experience and meet Metrolinx standards, featuring new digital signage for bus departures and necessary infrastructure work.
