Description:
The new state-of-the-art Stittsville Long-Term Care Home provides 256 new and upgraded beds and incorporates several design improvements, including semi-private and private rooms, larger resident common areas, central air conditioning, and enhanced HVAC systems to support infection prevention and control. Each resident has approximately 608 sq. ft. of living space.
The Stittsville Extendicare includes:
- Eight self-contained 32-resident “neighbourhoods,” each with dedicated dining rooms, activity spaces, and lounge areas;
- A country kitchen and café, physiotherapy room, chapel, beauty salon and barber shop, as well as access to a secure outdoor courtyard for residents and their families;
- Ample parking for families and visitors; and
- Clinical spaces supporting restorative and palliative care, including additional space for families supporting residents through end-of-life care.
