About the Role:
As a Project Coordinator at Buttcon, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish. Reporting to the Project Manager or Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating documentation, facilitating clear communication among project stakeholders, and assisting with scheduling and budget tracking. Responsibility
- Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities.
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules.
- Support the project team to adhere to timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and tendering activities.
- Maintain and review all project documentation including contracts, drawings, field work orders, requests for information, submittals, changes, and close-out records.
- Ensure proper document version control and accessibility.
- Work with Closeout specialist to gather documentation (O&M manuals, warranties) and coordinate warranty work.
- Track and report project expenditures.
- Price and process Change Notices, Change Directives, and Site Instructions.
- Alert project manager of potential cost overruns.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, trades, and suppliers.
- Organize and document project meetings (agendas, minutes, action items).
- Act as a key liaison between field teams and head office.
- Support in the development and updating of project schedules.
- Monitor and report on scheduling deviations or delays.
- Maintain and update submittal logs with accurate dates.
- Support quality control efforts and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Adherence to health and safety protocols and regulations and promote others to do the same
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Junior Project Coordinators as needed.
- Support the project team with daily administrative and coordination tasks.

Qualification Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close-out processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
- Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, BIM, and Axis Accounting Software is an asset.
- LEED, Net Zero, WELL, or Passive House accreditation is an asset.
Working Condition and Environment
- Work primarily takes place at head office or on construction sites.
- Exposure to active construction environments in various weather conditions.
- Project-related travel is required.
