Description:

Buttcon is serving as Construction Manager for a new 256-bed long-term care home in the City of Peterborough, Ontario. The project consists of a four-storey facility encompassing approximately 14,117 square metres and is being developed to support the growing demand for modern, resident-focused long-term care services within the community.

Located on a 2.2-hectare infill site, the project includes extensive site development works, including grading, servicing, stormwater management infrastructure, paving, landscaping, and utility installations. The facility is being designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for residents and staff, with features including three passenger elevators, a central kitchen, central laundry facilities, and modern building support systems.

Once complete, the new long-term care home will provide high-quality accommodations and care in a purpose-built environment designed to enhance the resident experience while supporting the long-term healthcare needs of the region.
