Daniel serves as Senior Vice President, Pre-Construction, providing strategic leadership across Buttcon’s pre-construction, estimating, procurement, and marketing operations. Since joining Buttcon in 2005 as a Junior Estimator while completing his Bachelor of Technology in Construction Science and Management at George Brown College, Daniel has played an integral role in the company’s continued growth and success.
Daniel oversees all aspects of the pre-construction process, ensuring projects transition seamlessly from concept through to construction. He works closely with owners, consultants, and project teams to develop budgets, manage risk, provide value-driven solutions, and establish successful project delivery strategies before construction begins. As Executive in Charge during the pre-construction and estimating phases, Daniel is actively involved in client and owner relationships, fostering collaboration and delivering certainty from the earliest stages of a project.
In addition to leading Buttcon’s pre-construction operations, Daniel plays a key role in the company’s business development, marketing, and proposal efforts, supporting Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). He is a Gold Seal Certified Estimator through the Canadian Construction Association and is an active member of the Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA), where he advocates for fair procurement practices, simplified tender documentation, and transparent bidding processes that benefit both owners and contractors.
