Construction has begun on the new John Snake Outdoor Event Pavilion, a collaborative effort by the Chippewas of Rama First Nation and Buttcon Limited. This project is set to transform the John Snake Memorial Multi-Purpose Grounds at 6002-6034 Rama Road, into a vibrant community hub. The space will serve as a gathering point for Indigenous events, ceremonies, and educational activities, fostering respect, appreciation, and understanding of the rich heritage of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation.

As the park’s popularity grows and attendance at events increases, this new 2400-square-foot post-and-beam outdoor event space will address the need for additional facilities. This building is more than just a structure; it symbolizes collaboration, resilience, and cultural pride. Together, we are creating a space that nurtures connections, celebrates heritage, and inspires future generations.

Thank you to our sponsors and donors for contributing to a legacy of community and cultural preservation.
