We are currently looking for a highly skilled, caring, and safety focused individual for our Buttcon East Team. Reporting to the Health and Safety Officer, the Safety Administrator plays a vital role in assisting and providing administrative support to the Health and Safety Department. The role requires travel to construction job sites and may require slight modifications in work times (as directed by the Health and Safety Officer).

Responsibility
Here’s What You’ll be Responsible for:
- Provide administrative support to the Health & Safety Officer
- Collect, process and track subtrade safety documents (Form 1000’s, safety programs, safety data sheets, etc) for all projects assigned
- Send and receive communications (safety notices, MOL and trade partner inquires)
- Assist with Joint Health and Safety Committees
- Manage safety matrix and update dashboards
- Book Health and Safety training sessions
- Assist during safety audits
- Work with the safety department personnel to track and maintain company related safety documentation for auditing purposes
- Accumulate and provide information to finance for billing purposes
- Ordering and purchasing of safety equipment
- Assist with evacuation drills and emergency preparedness testing
- Type and distribute meeting minutes
- Assist with various administrative support for safety program updates
- Research laws and legislation as required
- Attend webinars and information sessions and provide notes/summaries as requested

Qualification Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a construction administration role
- General Contracting Construction experience is considered an asset
- Bilingual French and English is considered an asset
