We are currently looking for a highly skilled, caring, and safety focused individual for our Team. Reporting to the General Superintendent, the Field Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the project teams for one or more projects. In addition, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Field Engineer with a background in Geomatics to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with professional experience eager to apply their technical knowledge in a practical setting.

Responsibility

Here’s What You’ll be Responsible for: Field Surveying and Data Collection:

  • Conduct field surveys using Trimble X7 3D laser scanners, total stations, and other surveying equipment.
  • Perform topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
  • Collect accurate geospatial data and ensure data quality.
Data Processing and Analysis:
  • Process and analyze geospatial data to produce accurate maps and reports.
  • Utilize survey data software such for data processing and map creation.
  • Verify data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
Technical Support and Collaboration:
  • Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to project teams as needed.
Equipment Maintenance and Management:
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in the field.
  • Keep detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and submit detailed field reports, survey notes, and data logs.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure all field activities comply with company and industry standards.

Skills And Attributes

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
  • Knowledge of construction and engineering principles.
  • Basic understanding of project management processes.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a similar role.

Qualification Requirements

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using Trimble X7 3D laser scanners and Trimble total stations.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial data collection and processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with survey data software such as Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Technologies (BIM) and Construction is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
  • G driver’s license (vehicle not required).
