Description:

The Joint Operations Centre project included site development, earth works, servicing and construction of the 80,000 square foot Operations Centre. The new facility was constructed on an 11-acre site and supports municipal operations for the Town's roads, water, sewer, parks, facilities and fleet division. The three main components of this project were site development, facility construction and LEED Gold certification. The facility included the construction of a three storey building with one level of supply and material storage, one level salt and sand management building and a one level outdoor vehicle storage with roof. There are also several outdoor storage areas and a greenhouse occupying the site. The office space is 2,300 metres square and the maintenance garage is 4,600 metres square.

The Joint Operations Centre project was the first of its kind to achieve LEED certification in the Town of Aurora's history.
