Sheridan Centre for Animation & Emerging Technology
SCAET is a state-of-the-art 100,000sf. teaching and studio facility. The main facade is a strategic combination of warm brick and patterned glass against an exposed steel structure to create a contrast with the predominant steel siding and concrete block used elsewhere around the campus.
Materials were designed and assembled using leading-edge technology in partnership with Sheridan’s CATIA Institute and CNC Centre of Excellence. Computer-aided, custom-designed steel components were used in the building’s interior detailing - a process unique in its use of computers as tools ofdesign.
